WHAT WE’D RETHINK

No entrance foyer, with entry directly into the kitchen.
Kitchen provides very little preparation space.
Dining is limited to a counter beside the stairs.
Open mezzanine sleeping area has limited privacy and sound separation.
Narrow space at the foot of the upstairs bed.
One small downstairs bathroom serves both sleeping areas.
No upstairs bathroom, requiring stairs at night.
Very shallow balcony offers little usable outdoor space.

The corner living room has windows on two sides and a double-height space. The kitchen can be enclosed, although it provides very little preparation space.

There is no entrance foyer, with entry directly into the kitchen. The dining counter seats two on the route to the stairs, and the turning staircase takes space from the small living area. The lower bedroom is tight around its queen-size bed. Upstairs, the open mezzanine sleeping area borrows daylight and offers limited privacy and sound separation. No direct external window is shown, and space at the foot of the bed is narrow. Both sleeping areas share one small downstairs bathroom, so stairs are needed at night from the upper level. The very shallow balcony offers little usable outdoor space.
